Waste Management in Flushing
Sustainable Design
Downtown Flushing is a bustling commercial area facing growing issues with traffic congestion and sidewalk litter. These problems can impact public safety and health while also potentially harming the local economy by making the area less appealing to visitors and tourists. The goal is to establish an efficient waste management system where local businesses can discard waste more easily to improve safety, cleanliness, and beauty, and where a local waste management facility can collect, process, and sell recycled goods, while also incorporating public green space and parking.
