Inhabiting the Uninhabitable
Residential Design
"Inhabiting the Uninhabitable" is a two-story dwelling for a family of six: a couple, their two kids, and their elder parents who occasionally stay over. Originally a factory, the goal is to transition from a cold, inorganic, and manmade space to a place where life can grow and inhabit a previously uninhabitable space.

Takeaway from precedent study

The takeaway from my precedent "Schindler House" was to have a courtyard/atrium type of floor plan to maximize daylight across all the rooms and common spaces, which is the principle of my parti.
